SaaS Pricing Changes October 2026: Atlassian, Copilot & More

The short version: October is a renewal-season month for software prices. Atlassian raises Cloud list prices by 3% to 10% on October 13, GitHub now charges Copilot Business and Enterprise seats upfront from October 1, Microsoft adds 5% to some CSP software subscriptions at renewal, and Kommo's September increase of $10 per user is now live for new customers. If you pay for any of these, the dates below tell you when the change reaches your invoice and what you can still do about it.

This page is a monthly pricing watch: we keep the same URL and update it at the start of each month with changes announced by AI and SaaS vendors, plus the prices we track on the tools we review.

Atlassian Cloud: up to 10% more from October 13

Atlassian's list prices rise across the Cloud portfolio on October 13, 2026. The change covers Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management and the Service Collection, the Teamwork Collection, Jira Product Discovery, Bitbucket, Atlassian Guard and Atlassian Government Cloud apps.

Atlassian's own FAQ does not list percentages, but its partners have published the breakdown: about 3% for Bitbucket Cloud and Atlassian Guard, 7% for most Standard and Premium plans, and 10% for Enterprise plans and subscriptions of 5,000 seats or more. Japanese yen prices also move by 7.3% to realign with US dollar list prices.

Reported increase by plan type. Your exact figure depends on product, tier and seat count.

When it reaches you: for both monthly and annual subscribers, any bill dated on or after October 13, 2026 (Pacific time) uses the new price. An annual plan that renews in March is not affected until March.

What you can still do: Atlassian honors any quote generated before October 13 at the old price until that quote expires. Monthly customers can ask for an annual quote now to lock today's price, as long as payment arrives before the quote expires, which Atlassian has extended to November 11, 2026 at the latest. If you were planning to move from monthly to annual anyway, this is the cheapest moment to do it. Details are in Atlassian's pricing FAQ.

GitHub Copilot: same price, stricter billing

Copilot's list prices did not change: Pro is $10 a month, Pro+ $39, Business $19 per user and Enterprise $39 per user. What changed is how and when organizations pay, in three steps announced in the GitHub changelog on August 28:

  1. September 1: the promotional AI credit allowance for business plans ended. Since GitHub moved to usage-based AI credits in June, Business seats had received $30 of credits a month and Enterprise seats $70. Both have now dropped back to the standard allowance, roughly equal to the seat price. Teams that used the extra headroom may see overage charges for the first time.
  2. September 28: Copilot Chat on github.com, GitHub Mobile and the cloud agent share a single policy, and chat history is kept for the life of the account instead of 28 days. The default code review effort also moves from "Lite" to "Balanced", which uses more credits per review unless an admin selects Lite explicitly.
  3. October 1: existing Business and Enterprise customers now pay for each seat before the user gets access, at the start of the billing cycle. Removing a seat mid-cycle no longer earns a prorated refund, although seats added mid-cycle are still prorated.

The practical effect is that idle seats cost money immediately. Audit who actually uses Copilot each month, and check whether the new review default changes your credit burn.

Kommo CRM: $10 more per user for new customers

Since September 1, 2026, new Kommo customers pay $25 per user a month for the Base plan instead of $15, and $35 instead of $25 for Advanced, according to Kommo's announcement. Prices vary by market.

Existing customers keep their current price as long as they stay on the same plan, and get a three-month grace period to renew at that price once a subscription expires. The catch: upgrading, downgrading or adding seats moves you to the new rates. If you expect to add users soon, it can be cheaper to add them under your current terms before your plan changes. Sales teams comparing CRMs now can also look at Close, whose annual Solo plan works out at $9 per user a month.

Microsoft CSP: 5% more if you pay an annual term monthly

From October 1, 2026, Microsoft applies a 5% uplift to CSP software subscriptions, such as Windows Server, SQL Server, client access licences and System Center, that run on an annual term but are billed monthly. It applies at renewal on or after October 1, not mid-term. Paying the annual term upfront, or staying month-to-month, avoids the uplift. If you buy through a reseller, ask them which billing option your renewal will use.

The 9 tools we track: no new list prices, but read the badges

We recheck the pricing pages of the AI and SaaS tools we review every month. We found no list-price change announced for October. The bigger risk on these pages is the gap between the discount badge and the real numbers.

Before your next renewal: a five-minute check

  1. Find the bill date, not the announcement date. Atlassian and Microsoft both apply new prices on the invoice or renewal date, so the same change can reach two companies months apart.
  2. Ask for a quote early. Where a vendor honors quotes, as Atlassian does until October 13, a quote is the simplest way to lock the current price.
  3. Count active seats. With prepaid seats on Copilot and per-seat increases at Kommo, every unused licence now costs more.
  4. Check usage-based defaults. Changes like Copilot's new review default can raise spending without any change in list price.
  5. Compare annual savings on your actual plan. As the table shows, a "save 50%" badge can mean 7% on the plan you need.

Questions about SaaS price changes

When does the Atlassian price increase apply to existing customers?

On the first bill dated on or after October 13, 2026 (Pacific time). Annual subscribers pay the new price at their next renewal after that date, and quotes created before October 13 are honored at the old price until they expire.

Did GitHub Copilot get more expensive?

Not in list price. Business is still $19 per user a month. But the promotional credit allowance ended on September 1, seats are prepaid from October 1 without prorated refunds, and the new code review default can use more credits, so real spending can rise.

How often is this page updated?

At the start of every month, and sooner when a vendor we track changes its pricing page. The date at the top shows the last full check.

How we compile this pricing watch

We read vendor announcements, changelogs and pricing FAQs, and use partner or reseller posts only to fill in details the vendor does not publish, saying so where we do. For the tools we review, we open each pricing page, switch between monthly and yearly billing and calculate the saving ourselves. See how we review software.

Research-based report: compiled from public vendor sources; we did not receive early access or payment from any vendor named here.
