Research-based pricing guide built from Hostinger's own public pages: Saazora did not buy or run a Hostinger plan for this article · Prices read on hostinger.com on October 31, 2026, during Hostinger's Black Friday sale · US dollars, before VAT or sales tax · Saazora may earn a reward if you buy through the Hostinger referral links on this page.
Hostinger pricing on October 31, 2026 starts at $2.49 a month for Premium, $3.49 for Unlimited and $7.99 for Cloud Startup, but only on a 48-month term paid up front ($119.52, $167.52 and $383.52). When that term ends, the same plans renew at $10.99, $16.99 and $25.99 a month, which is 3.3 to 4.9 times the intro rate. Over eight years (one intro term plus one renewal term) Premium averages $6.74 a month, Unlimited $10.24 and Cloud Startup $16.99. On Premium and Unlimited, a single year at the renewal rate costs more than the whole first four years did.
This page works out the totals Hostinger's plan cards leave to you: the full cost of each term, what renewal adds, what the free domain and mailboxes cost after year one, and what the 30-day refund does and does not cover. All figures come from Hostinger's own pricing pages, tutorials, support articles and refund policy. If you only want the current discounts, our Hostinger deals page lists them.
What Hostinger charges today, plan by plan
Hostinger's US pricing page shows three plans for most websites, plus agency plans. Each card shows a monthly rate, the amount charged today and a renewal line. Hostinger explains the monthly figure on the same page: "The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan."
| Plan | Intro rate (48 months) | Charged today | Renews at | Renewal vs intro | Included |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $2.49/mo | $119.52 | $10.99/mo | 4.4x | 3 websites, 2 mailboxes per site free for 1 year, weekly backups |
| Unlimited | $3.49/mo | $167.52 | $16.99/mo | 4.9x | Unlimited websites and mailboxes (free for 1 year), daily backups |
| Cloud Startup | $7.99/mo | $383.52 | $25.99/mo | 3.3x | Unlimited websites and mailboxes (free for 1 year), daily and on-demand backups |
| Cloud Professional | $15.99/mo | $767.52 | $44.99/mo | 2.8x | Free domain and mailboxes for the first year |
| Cloud Enterprise | $29.99/mo | $1,439.52 | $64.99/mo | 2.2x | Free domain and mailboxes for the first year |
From hostinger.com/pricing, /web-hosting and /cloud-hosting, read October 31, 2026. Each renewal line reads "Renews at ... for the same term." Cloud Professional and Enterprise figures are from the plan tabs on /cloud-hosting, re-checked November 3, 2026 ("Today you pay $767.52 for 48 months. Renews at $44.99/mo" and "$1,439.52 for 48 months. Renews at $64.99/mo"). Prices exclude VAT.
Three details on those cards matter more than the headline rate. First, the price is for 48 months, and you pay all of it on day one. Second, the renewal line says "for the same term", so $10.99 is what Premium costs if you renew for another 48 months; Hostinger does not print a renewal rate for a shorter renewal on the plan page. Third, these are sale prices. The page calls this "this Black Friday" and promises "Up to 82% off", and Premium buyers currently get "2x AI credits, 500 instead of 250." Our own deals page recorded higher intro rates earlier in October, so expect the figures to move once the sale ends.

Four years and eight years: the cost per month that you actually pay
The intro rate is already the four-year average, because the term is four years long. The number that changes the picture is what happens when you keep the site past year four, and what the domain costs once its free year is over. Hostinger's tutorial on hosting costs lists a .com at $0.01 for the first year and "renews at $19.99/yr." We added three years of .com renewal to the four-year column, since the domain is free only in year one.
| Plan | 4 years, hosting only | 4 years + .com renewals (years 2–4) | Average per month over 4 years | Next 48 months at renewal | 8 years, hosting only | Average per month over 8 years |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $119.52 | $179.49 | $3.74 | $527.52 | $647.04 | $6.74 |
| Unlimited | $167.52 | $227.49 | $4.74 | $815.52 | $983.04 | $10.24 |
| Cloud Startup | $383.52 | $443.49 | $9.24 | $1,247.52 | $1,631.04 | $16.99 |
Saazora calculation from Hostinger's posted prices on October 31, 2026. The .com renewal of $19.99 a year is from Hostinger Tutorials (modified October 22, 2026). Mailbox renewals ($0.59 a month per mailbox on a 12-month term, per the pricing page) are left out because the number of mailboxes varies. Tax excluded.
Read the table as a budget, not a quote. The domain line assumes you register a .com through Hostinger and keep it there; other extensions renew at different rates in the same tutorial (.shop at $34.99 a year, .blog at $29.99). The eight-year column assumes the renewal rates you can see today stay the same, which Hostinger does not promise. Its support article on renewals says the renewal price "is displayed directly in the Renewal price column" of your account, so that column, not this page, is the figure to check before your term ends.
Why one renewal year can cost more than the first four
The gap between intro and renewal is large enough that a single year of Premium at $10.99 a month ($131.88) is $12.36 more than the entire 48-month intro term ($119.52). On Unlimited, a renewal year ($203.88) is $36.36 more than the first four years ($167.52). Cloud Startup is the exception: its intro discount is smaller, so the first term ($383.52) still costs more than one renewal year ($311.88).

This is why the plan you pick in the cart matters less in year one than in year five. On the intro rates, Unlimited costs $48 more than Premium over four years. At renewal, the same two plans are $288 apart over the next four years ($815.52 against $527.52). If you only need three websites and weekly backups are enough, Premium's lower renewal rate does most of the saving. If you need daily backups on every site, compare Unlimited's renewal rate with Premium plus a daily backup add-on, which we cover below.
12 months, 24 months or month to month: what Hostinger publishes
Hostinger sells shorter terms. Its support article on renewal periods lists "1 month, 12 months, 24 months or 48 months" for web, cloud and Business email hosting, and adds that "Longer billing cycles usually provide a lower average monthly price." The full amount for the chosen period "is charged upfront."
What Hostinger does not do, on October 31, is print the 12-month or 24-month prices on its plan pages. The pricing page, the web hosting page and the cloud page all show the 48-month term only, and the shorter-term prices appear when you change the period at checkout. We did not use any 12-month or 24-month figure from third-party sites, so this page does not quote them. If you are weighing a shorter term, change the period in the cart and compare the "Today you pay" total and the renewal line before paying.
The one shorter-term price Hostinger does publish in text is in its hosting cost tutorial: Unlimited is "$18.99/month on a rolling monthly basis," against "$3.49/month on a 48-month term." That allows one comparison from Hostinger's own figures:
- 48 months of Unlimited paid month by month: 48 x $18.99 = $911.52.
- 48 months of Unlimited paid up front: $167.52, or $744 less.
- The up-front price equals about 8.8 months of month-to-month billing. If you are fairly sure the site will still exist in nine months, the long term costs less even if you abandon it after that.
- Monthly billing also loses the free domain. The same tutorial says the free domain and the free mailboxes apply "on subscriptions of 12 months or longer."
The trade is commitment. The 48-month price is cheapest per month, but after the 30-day refund window you have paid for four years whether you use them or not.
Free in year one, paid later: domain, email and backups
Every plan card lists extras, and most of them carry a "free for 1 year" label. Here is what each one costs after that year, as far as Hostinger's own pages say.

- Domain. "Domain - free for 1 year" on Premium, Unlimited and Cloud Startup, for terms of 12 months or longer. A .com then renews at $19.99 a year. The pricing page's comparison table also lists a "Free domain WHOIS privacy protection value" of $9.99, and the tutorial says Hostinger "includes WHOIS privacy at no extra cost."
- Email. "2 mailboxes per website - free for 1 year" on Premium and "Unlimited mailboxes per website - free for 1 year" on Unlimited and Cloud Startup. After that, the pricing page says each mailbox "Renews at $0.59/mo (12-month term)" (re-checked November 3, 2026), so two Premium mailboxes add about $14.16 a year. If your mail already lands in spam, the host is rarely the only cause; our guide to why emails go to spam covers the DNS records to set up after you move.
- Backups. Premium includes "Free weekly backups"; Unlimited includes "Daily backups + easy data restore"; Cloud Startup includes "Daily and on demand backups." Hostinger's support article says "Single and Premium web plans can add them from the Backups page," which makes daily backups a paid add-on on Premium. The article does not state the price, and daily backups are kept "for the last 7 days."
- SSL. The hosting cost tutorial says "All plans include unlimited free SSL." No first-year limit is mentioned.
If you want to see these lines for your own term and plan, the quickest way is to open the cart and switch periods before paying. Compare Hostinger plans and terms in the cart (referral link). Hostinger's referral page says referred buyers "enjoy 20% off too!", but it does not say whether that applies on top of Black Friday prices, so check the total in the cart rather than assuming it.
The 30-day refund, and the parts it does not return
Hostinger's refund policy, last revised October 29, 2026, says products "may be refunded only if canceled within 30 days of the date of the transaction." For a 48-month plan, that means a full hosting refund is available for the first 30 days of a four-year commitment, and not after.

- The free domain stays with you, but is not refunded. The policy says "free domains provided as part of special deals are non-refundable," and that Hostinger may refund the difference between what you paid and the free domain's price, with the domain kept for the rest of its billing term.
- Paid domains have a 96-hour window, and some extensions cannot be refunded at all. The policy lists registries that "DO NOT permit refunds upon cancellation," including .us, .ai, .ca, .uk and .de. Domain renewals are not refundable.
- Renewals restart the clock. The policy counts "the date any renewal is processed by Hostinger" as a transaction date, so a hosting renewal charge you did not expect falls under the same 30-day window.
- Some add-ons are refundable, others are not. Daily Backups, SSL certificates and Hostinger Email follow the standard terms. Privacy Protection, the SEO Toolkit, the Email Storage add-on and Google Workspace email are listed as non-refundable.
The practical step is the auto-renewal switch. Hostinger's support article says "Auto-renewal is optional. You can disable it at any time in Billing → Subscriptions, and your plan stays active until its expiration date." Put a reminder a month before your term ends, read the renewal price in that column, and decide then.
Choosing a plan on total cost, not on the headline rate
- One to three small sites, weekly backups are enough: Premium has the lowest renewal rate ($10.99) of the three, and its four-year cost with a .com is about $180.
- More than three sites, or daily backups on everything: Unlimited. It adds $48 over four years at the intro rate, but $288 over the following four at renewal, so price in year five before you choose it for the extra sites.
- A busy store or site that needs dedicated resources: Cloud Startup. Its renewal multiple (3.3x) is the smallest of the three main plans, but it is still $25.99 a month after the first term.
- You are not sure the project will last nine months: month-to-month billing on Unlimited costs $18.99 a month and skips the free domain, but you are not locked in for four years.

Hostinger pricing: common questions
How much does Hostinger cost per year?
On the 48-month term, Premium works out to $29.88 a year, Unlimited $41.88 and Cloud Startup $95.88, but you pay all four years at once ($119.52, $167.52 or $383.52). At the posted renewal rates, a year costs $131.88, $203.88 or $311.88.
Does Hostinger's price go up when you renew?
Yes. On October 31, 2026, Hostinger's own cards say Premium "Renews at $10.99/mo for the same term," Unlimited at $16.99 and Cloud Startup at $25.99, against intro rates of $2.49, $3.49 and $7.99. The intro rate is locked for the full term you paid for.
Is the domain really free?
For the first year, on terms of 12 months or longer. A .com then renews at $19.99 a year according to Hostinger's hosting cost tutorial. If you take a refund, the free domain is not refunded and Hostinger may deduct its price.
Can I get my money back on a 48-month plan?
Within 30 days of the purchase date, under Hostinger's refund policy. After 30 days the policy does not provide a hosting refund for the remaining months. A renewal charge starts its own 30-day window.
Why doesn't Hostinger show 12-month prices on the plan page?
The plan pages we read on October 31 show only the 48-month price; the shorter terms appear when you change the period at checkout. Hostinger's support article confirms 1, 12, 24 and 48-month periods exist and says longer cycles usually cost less per month.
How we researched this pricing guide
On October 31, 2026 we read Hostinger's US pricing, web hosting and cloud hosting pages, its referral program page and refund policy, two Hostinger Tutorials posts on hosting costs and choosing a plan, and three Hostinger support articles on renewing a plan, renewal periods and daily backups. Every price and quote here comes from those pages. The pages were read through a text-extraction tool rather than a logged-in browser, and the shorter-term prices that only appear in Hostinger's cart were not available to us, so they are not quoted. The term totals, renewal multiples, eight-year averages, domain-inclusive budgets and the month-to-month break-even are Saazora's own arithmetic from those posted prices. We did not buy a plan, open the cart or contact Hostinger, so we cannot say what a specific invoice, tax line or retention offer would show. More on our process: Saazora's research and review process.
