MindStudio Review & Pricing (2026): Plans and Real Costs

MindStudio charges two bills: a plan fee from $0 to $20 a month and AI usage passed through at provider rates. We read MindStudio's pricing page, rate card and docs to price one agent run across five models, show where paid integrations take over the bill, and total a first year in four set-ups, including Remy.

MindStudio Review & Pricing (2026): Plans and Real Costs

Research-based review: Saazora did not buy a MindStudio plan or build an agent for this article · Prices and plan terms read on MindStudio's pricing page, its usage pricing reference and its MindStudio University documentation on November 4, 2026 · Prices in US dollars, before tax

This MindStudio review comes down to two bills, not one. The platform fee is easy: $0 for one agent and 1,000 runs a month, $20 a month (or $16 billed yearly) for unlimited agents and runs, and a custom quote for teams. The second bill is usage, and MindStudio passes AI model costs through without a markup, so it depends on which model and which paid services your agent calls. On MindStudio's own rate card, the same small task costs 22 times more on Claude 4.6 Sonnet than on Gemini 2.5 Flash, and a single Apollo.io contact lookup costs about ten times that Sonnet call. MindStudio is a strong, cheap way for one person to build and ship AI agents. It gets expensive when you pick a premium model by default, when your workflow leans on paid data services, or when a second person needs to edit, because the Individual plan is for one builder.

MindStudio is a no-code platform for building AI agents in a visual editor and deploying them as web apps, browser extensions, scheduled jobs, email or webhook triggers, API endpoints and MCP servers. In 2026 it also added Remy, a separate product that turns a plain-language plan into a full-stack app, with its own price. This review covers what each plan includes, how usage is metered, an original per-run cost table built from MindStudio's rate card, what a first year costs in four realistic set-ups, and who should look elsewhere. If you are deciding between MindStudio and Gumloop specifically, our MindStudio vs Gumloop comparison covers that head to head, so this page does not repeat it.

MindStudio plans and what each one unlocks

MindStudio's pricing page shows three plans. Every price is followed by "+ usage", which is the key to reading it: the plan buys capacity and features, and AI model calls are charged on top from a prepaid balance.

A few lines on the pricing page matter more than the headline numbers:

  • Free means one agent, not one project. The Free card lists "One agent" and "1,000 runs / month". A run, in MindStudio's words, "is a single execution of an AI Agent", whether you start it or a trigger does. When you near the cap, "You'll be notified", and you can upgrade or buy more runs.
  • Individual removes the counting. It lists "Unlimited agents" and "Unlimited runs / month". The only meter left is usage.
  • Individual is a one-person plan. In the comparison table, the collaboration rows read "Just me" for Individual and "Custom" for Business. If a colleague needs to build or edit agents with you, plan for a Business quote.
  • Business is where the admin features live. Its card lists "Single sign-on (SSO)", "Audit logs, budgets, usage limits, and alerts", "Self-host MindStudio" and "Custom domains", among others.
  • Your data and the Chrome extension. Every plan card says "Your data is never used for training", and the FAQ says the Chrome Extension "is free and works with all plans."

One caution on stability: MindStudio's plans have changed before. In a November 2025 community thread a user asked where the old Pro plan had gone, and MindStudio staff replied that "Anyone who was already on the Pro Plan has been grandfathered into it" and that "embedding is now available to new users through the Business Plan." Check the live pricing page on the day you sign up, especially if you need website embedding or custom domains.

If you want to start on the Free plan and see whether the builder suits you, create a free MindStudio account (affiliate link). Saazora may earn a commission if you later upgrade, at no extra cost to you.

How MindStudio charges for AI usage

MindStudio's usage reference says the platform gives "access to over 200 different AI models and services, and the usage of these AI models is metered." The cost "is passed through at cost", and the pricing FAQ is blunter: "MindStudio does NOT mark up the cost." You do not need an OpenAI or Anthropic account; MindStudio's Service Router handles the connections. If you prefer, you can paste your own provider key, and then, per the documentation, "Requests route directly to the provider using your credentials."

Usage is paid from a workspace balance. The billing documentation describes adding funds manually and an auto-recharge that tops the balance up when it falls to a level you choose ("e.g., $25.00"). You can set limits: the FAQ says "you can set per-agent and total limits", and the billing page warns that once a workspace exceeds its budget, "subsequent usage will be suspended until the next billing period." That is a useful safety net, but it also means a live agent can stop mid-month if the budget is set too low.

Three kinds of items show up in the rate card:

  • Text models, priced per million input and output tokens. Examples: GPT-5 Mini at $0.25 in and $2.00 out, Gemini 3 Flash at $0.50 and $3.00, Claude 4.6 Sonnet at $3.00 and $15.00.
  • Image and video models, priced per image or per second. Google Imagen 4 Fast is listed at $0.02 per image and Veo 3 Fast (video only) at $0.10 per second.
  • Paid services called by integration blocks, priced per event. Apollo.io "Enrich Person" is $0.17 per event, Twilio "Send SMS" $0.01 and Serper.dev "Search Google" $0.001.

That third group is the part most MindStudio pricing summaries leave out, and as the next sections show, it can be the biggest line on your bill.

What one agent run costs: an original MindStudio cost table

MindStudio publishes rates, not task prices, so Saazora built a reference task and priced it with the rate card. The task: an agent reads about 3,000 tokens of input (an email thread or a two-page document plus its instructions) and writes about 500 tokens back (a summary or a draft reply). That is a modest, common job. Token counts for real agents vary, so treat these as order-of-magnitude figures.

Model (MindStudio rate, per million tokens in / out) Cost per run 1,000 runs (Free plan cap) 10,000 runs a month
Gemini 2.5 Flash ($0.15 / $0.60) $0.00075 $0.75 $7.50
GPT-5 Mini ($0.25 / $2.00) $0.00175 $1.75 $17.50
Gemini 3 Flash ($0.50 / $3.00) $0.0030 $3.00 $30.00
GPT-5 ($1.25 / $10.00) $0.00875 $8.75 $87.50
Claude 4.6 Sonnet ($3.00 / $15.00) $0.0165 $16.50 $165.00

Saazora's arithmetic: (3,000 × input rate + 500 × output rate) ÷ 1,000,000. Rates from MindStudio's usage pricing reference, read November 4, 2026. Excludes integration events, images, video and retries.

Usage cost of 10,000 runs, by model

Same task each time: about 3,000 tokens in, 500 tokens out

Gemini 2.5 Flash

$7.50

GPT-5 Mini

$17.50

Gemini 3 Flash

$30.00

GPT-5

$87.50

Claude 4.6 Sonnet

$165.00

Rates: MindStudio usage pricing reference, November 4, 2026. Calculation and chart: Saazora.

Model choice moves the usage bill 22-fold for the same task: $7.50 versus $165 for 10,000 runs on MindStudio's own rates. Chart: Saazora.

Two things follow. First, on the Free plan the run cap binds long before money does: 1,000 runs of this task cost between $0.75 and $16.50 in usage. Second, on the Individual plan, where runs are unlimited, the model you choose matters more than the $20 fee. A busy agent on Sonnet can cost eight times the subscription each month; the same agent on GPT-5 Mini costs less than the subscription. Since MindStudio lets you swap the model in a block, it is worth building on a premium model, then testing whether a cheaper one gives acceptable output before you switch it on for real traffic.

The hidden line: paid integration events

Many popular MindStudio agents do more than call a model. A lead-research agent, for example, might search Google, enrich a contact through Apollo.io and then have a model write a short brief. Pricing one lead with the rate card above:

Where the money goes in one lead-research run

Total $0.1875 per lead; 500 leads a month = $93.75 in usage

Apollo.io Enrich Person: $0.17 (90.7%) Claude 4.6 Sonnet, 3,000 in / 500 out: $0.0165 (8.8%) Serper.dev Search Google: $0.001 (0.5%)

Per-event and per-token rates: MindStudio usage pricing reference, November 4, 2026. Calculation and chart: Saazora.

In a lead-research agent, the paid data lookup, not the AI model, is about nine-tenths of the usage cost. Chart: Saazora.

Switching the model to GPT-5 Mini would save about 1.5 cents per lead. Skipping the enrichment step on leads that do not need it would save 17 cents. When you estimate a MindStudio bill, list every integration block that has a per-event price before you look at models.

What a first year of MindStudio costs in four set-ups

These scenarios combine the plan fees with the per-run figures above. They are Saazora's estimates from MindStudio's published rates, not quotes.

Set-up Plan Usage assumption Platform, 12 months Usage, 12 months First-year total
Hobby: one personal assistant agent Free 800 runs a month on GPT-5 Mini $0 $16.80 $16.80
Freelancer: three client agents Individual, yearly 5,000 runs a month on Gemini 3 Flash $192 $180 $372 ($420 if billed monthly)
Solo sales ops: lead-research agent Individual, yearly 500 leads a month, as in the chart above $192 $1,125 $1,317
Founder: one full-stack app on Remy Remy, yearly One build at MindStudio's stated $100 to $500 in tokens $948 $100 to $500 $1,048 to $1,448, plus inference once the app has users

Platform fees from mindstudio.ai/pricing ($16 × 12 = $192; $20 × 12 = $240) and MindStudio's Remy posts ($79 × 12 = $948). Usage from the per-run table and lead-research chart above. Excludes taxes, retries and a Business plan for teams.

The pattern is clear. For a solo builder whose agents mostly call a mid-priced model, MindStudio's first year sits in the low hundreds of dollars. The fee only becomes the minor part of the bill when paid integrations or a premium model run at volume, and Remy is priced as a hosting platform, not as an add-on to the agent builder.

Deploying a MindStudio agent: the options and their fine print

MindStudio's homepage lists six ways to ship an agent: "AI-powered web apps", "Autonomous agents", "Browser extensions", "Email triggered", "Webhook / API endpoints" and "Agentic MCP servers". The documentation adds website embedding. What each one involves, from MindStudio University:

  • Web app. "Once you publish an AI Agent, it is immediately accessible via its unique MindStudio-hosted URL." To share it with others, "you must enable Public Use" in the agent's access settings.
  • API. A published agent "can be triggered via HTTPS using a simple POST request to the MindStudio API", authenticated with an API key, with inputs passed as JSON.
  • MCP server. This "lets you expose one or more of your MindStudio agents as tools that external applications or LLMs can invoke", so an assistant such as Claude or a coding tool can call your agent.
  • Website embed. Embedding works "without requiring end users to sign up for a MindStudio account", with link expiry you can set from one hour to never. Staff said in November 2025 that embedding is a Business-plan feature for new users, so confirm before you promise a client an embedded agent on Individual.
  • Versioning. "Publishing creates a versioned release of your AI Agent, locking in its current configuration", and you can roll back to an earlier version.

The documentation pages Saazora read do not say who pays usage when outside users run a public agent. Because usage is billed to the workspace balance, assume it is you, and set a per-agent limit before you publish anything public.

Remy: MindStudio's second product, priced separately

Remy is not a feature of the agent builder. MindStudio describes it as "a product agent, a new way to build software": you write a plain-language plan and Remy builds a deployed full-stack app with backend, database, login and front end. In its June 1, 2026 launch post, MindStudio says "The product is in alpha, so expect bugs and changes", and gives the price as "$99/month ($79 with annual billing) after a 7-day free trial, plus pass-through inference at provider rates." The generated code is "standard TypeScript in a git repo you own."

Build cost is the variable to watch. MindStudio's August 18, 2026 cost post says "A typical project on Remy runs $100 to $500 in AI tokens from first description to a deployed, working application", and that if you stop paying, "The hosted version stops running." On MindStudio's community forum, one alpha user reported "Over $400 in 7 days" of token spend on Claude Opus; staff explained that Remy's large context "drives both the quality of the output and the inference costs", and the user later said switching to a Sonnet model brought fix costs down. Saazora could not load Remy's own site to confirm current pricing, so treat the Remy figures as MindStudio's published statements and re-check them at sign-up. For prompt-to-app tools that compete with Remy, see our best AI app builders guide, which compares first-year costs across eight of them.

MindStudio strengths and weaknesses

Strengths Weaknesses
Free plan that keeps one agent running with 1,000 runs a month Free plan is capped at one agent, so testing two ideas means paying
Model usage at provider rates with no markup, by MindStudio's statement Usage is a second, variable bill; budgets can suspend a live agent
200+ models with no API keys needed, or your own keys Paid integration events can dwarf model costs and are easy to miss
Unlimited agents and runs on a $16 to $20 plan Individual is "Just me"; any collaboration means a custom Business quote
Many deployment targets, including API and MCP server Embedding and custom domains point to Business; plan terms have changed in the past year
Versioned publishing with rollback; SOC 2 Type II and GDPR claims Remy is a separate $79 to $99 monthly product, still in alpha

Who MindStudio fits, and who should skip it

Good fit: solo founders, consultants and operators who want to build several AI agents without code and ship them as a web tool, a Chrome extension, an API or an MCP tool; people who want to compare many models on one bill; and freelancers building agents for clients who are comfortable keeping the agents in their own workspace.

Think twice: teams of two or more builders on a fixed budget, since collaboration sits on a custom-priced plan; agencies that need white-label embeds on client sites, until the plan terms are confirmed; and anyone running high-volume workflows that hit paid data services on every run, where per-event charges set the cost. If your main need is automation that lives inside Slack, Teams or Gmail, the trade-offs in our Gumloop comparison are more relevant. If you want a database-backed portal rather than an AI agent, our notes on Softr's free plan limits cover a different kind of no-code tool. More options sit in our AI app builders hub.

If MindStudio fits, the low-risk path is to build your first agent on the Free plan (affiliate link), set a per-agent budget, and move to Individual billed yearly only when you need a second agent. Current offers are listed on our MindStudio deals page.

MindStudio review FAQ

Is MindStudio free?

Yes, for one agent. The Free plan costs $0 a month and includes one agent and 1,000 runs a month. You still pay AI model usage at provider rates from your balance, which for light tasks on small models is often under $2 for 1,000 runs.

How much does MindStudio cost per month?

The Individual plan is $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, plus usage. Business is custom-priced. Remy, the separate app builder, is listed by MindStudio at $99 a month or $79 billed yearly, plus inference.

Does MindStudio mark up OpenAI, Anthropic or Google model costs?

MindStudio says no. Its pricing FAQ states "MindStudio does NOT mark up the cost", and its usage reference says usage "is passed through at cost." You can also connect your own API keys.

What counts as a run in MindStudio?

"A run is a single execution of an AI Agent." Runs are capped at 1,000 a month on Free and unlimited on Individual.

Can a team share one MindStudio Individual plan?

The pricing table lists collaboration on Individual as "Just me". Unlimited collaborators with permissions are a Business plan feature.

Is there a MindStudio free trial?

The pricing page does not mention a trial for paid agent-builder plans; the Free plan serves that purpose. MindStudio says Remy has a seven-day free trial.

How we researched this MindStudio review

On November 4, 2026, Saazora read MindStudio's pricing page, homepage and usage pricing reference, and eight MindStudio University documentation pages on billing, model keys, web apps, embedding, the API, MCP servers, team roles and publishing. Remy details come from MindStudio's own blog posts dated June 1 and August 18, 2026; Remy's own site could not be loaded with our page-reading tool. Two MindStudio community threads supplied the history of plan changes and one user's Remy token costs; those are one person's reports, not measurements. Pages were read through a tool that returns excerpts, and every quoted figure was copied from those excerpts. The per-run table, the lead-research breakdown and the first-year totals are Saazora's own arithmetic from MindStudio's published rates. Saazora did not buy a plan, build an agent or measure token use for this review, and MindStudio did not review this article. See how we review software.
