Circle is a community platform that puts discussions, courses, live streams and events, a member directory, a website builder and paywalls into one branded space, with iOS, Android and desktop apps. Every plan allows unlimited members. Business adds workflows, custom profile fields, APIs and an MCP server, and the option to remove Circle branding. Scale adds AI agents, webhooks and custom SSO; Circle Plus adds fully branded mobile apps.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually (per month) | Annual saving | Circle transaction fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | $99 | $89 | $120 a year (10%) | 2% |
| Business | $219 | $199 | $240 a year (9%) | 1% |
| Scale | $419 | $419 | No saving listed | 1% |
| Circle Plus | Custom | Custom | Negotiated | 0.5% |
Savings are our own arithmetic (monthly price times 12 minus annual price times 12). Monthly prices come from the structured price data on Circle's pricing page, which displays annual prices. Circle's fee applies to member payments, on top of Stripe's costs.
Professional covers most new communities: unlimited members, courses, events, payments and a custom domain, with the highest transaction fee at 2%. Move to Business once you sell enough that halving the fee matters, or when you need workflows, the API, custom profile fields or a Circle-free brand. Scale is for teams that want AI agents, webhooks and SSO, and Circle Plus is for brands that want their own app in the stores.
Circle is worth it when you want community, courses and events in one place you control, with apps included and no member cap. The trade-offs are real: the advertised $89 needs a year paid upfront, the transaction fee stacks on top of Stripe's, Scale gets no annual discount, and refunds stop after 30 days.
Skool has a lower entry price: a $9 Hobby plan with a 10% transaction fee, or $99 Pro at 2.9%, and suits simple course-plus-community groups. Kartra suits sellers who also want funnels, email and checkouts; Starter costs $119 a month with 0% transaction fees.
We checked that our partner link lands on Circle, then read Circle's pricing page, its price data and FAQ, and the help center articles on refunds, cancellation and billing on October 21 and again on October 22, 2026. Prices did not change. We list no coupon code because we found none.
We found no public Circle coupon code as of October 2026, and Circle's pricing page does not list one. The verified ways to pay less are the free trial, annual billing and free migrations for eligible accounts.
Yes. Circle offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. If you decide not to continue, you can let the trial expire. Circle typically removes trial data 90 days after expiry.
Billed annually, Professional is $89 a month, Business $199 and Scale $419, while Circle Plus is quoted on request. Billed monthly, Professional is $99 and Business $219, and Scale stays at $419. Prices exclude tax.
Yes, on two plans. Annual billing saves $120 a year on Professional and $240 a year on Business, roughly 9% to 10%. The pricing page data shows the same $419 for Scale on both cycles.
Circle offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on both monthly and annual subscriptions. You must ask within 30 days of the original subscription start date, and renewals or plan changes do not reset that date. After 30 days Circle issues no refunds for the rest of the term.
Open your community Settings, choose Plans under Subscription, go to the Manage Billing tab and click End your subscription at the bottom. The plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle. Member paywall subscriptions must be cancelled separately.
Yes. On member payments Circle takes 2% on Professional, 1% on Business and Scale, and 0.5% on Circle Plus. Stripe's processing fees come on top, and refunding through the Stripe dashboard instead of Circle does not return Circle's fee.
